An Immersive ICMPhotoMag Workshop

23-26 November 2023

This is an all-inclusive retreat with Stephanie Johnson and Bill Ward in the stunningly beautiful land’s end area of England.  This retreat offers meaningful exploration of artistic expression through the use of ICM and creative photography techniques.

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN CORNWALL

Together, Stephanie and Bill bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, passion, and love that are unparalleled in the genre ICM and Creative Photography.  They also each have very dedicated practices for guiding, mentoring, and coaching others to find their own creative paths with ICM and Creative Photography.  Stephanie and Bill are both extremely passionate teachers who share a similar artistic philosophy and mindfulness approach that makes this an exciting creative opportunity not to be missed.

In this all-inclusive, 3-night retreat, in one of the most spectacular, wild, and rugged landscape locations in all of the United Kingdom, Stephanie and Bill provide an immersive experience of inspiration, creativity, and artistic expression for participants working with ICM, Multiple Exposure ICM, and other Creative Photography techniques.

Throughout this retreat, you will spend time at some of the most rugged, wild, and wind-swept beaches England has to offer, where you will be fully immersed in the beauty and rejuvenating energy of the natural world.   This premium experience will allow you to connect with your inner creative spirit and to find your artistic voice through the encouraging and inspiring mentoring of Stephanie and Bill.

GLYN MACEY

Cornwall-Based Landscape Painter

Glyn Macey

Glyn is a painter, mixed media artist, and adventurer who lives in the far west of Cornwall.  His work is inspired by the coastlines, harbours, and rugged landscapes of Cornwall.  He also travels extensively, but he can often be found roaming around Cornwall with a sketchbook in hand to record the details of daily Cornish life.  These sketches are then used as the basis for his paintings.

Glyn endeavors to capture the underlying essence of the landscape and the people who live in it.  Using acrylic, pencil, collage techniques, and glazing, he is able to build rich depth in his paintings through a spontaneous approach to his artistry.

As our guest artist, Glyn’s talk and presentation will be part demonstration and part thought process.  He has studied the work of Bill and Stephanie, and he sees the crossover between the two worlds…the two worlds being the mediums of what he does as a painter and what Bill and Stephanie do as photographers.  With his vast knowledge and experience of Cornwall, his artistic and creative insights will provide a wealth of inspiration for participants in the creation of their images during the workshop, as well as enabling participants to experience Cornwall in unique ways that will shine through in their image making.
